The variety «Gamma» (also known as «Gammason») forms smooth, rounded, dark green leaves. The plant is characterized by a slow growth rate.

Due to its delayed development, the variety possesses resistance to bolting, which allows it to be used for summer harvesting and production in later spring periods. The variety shows resistance to spinach downy mildew (races 1 and 2) and tolerance to race 3 of this disease.
