ActiveSpinacia oleracea L. · Spinach
Monsanto Holland, NL
10 August 2026
The variety is an improved version of the 'Matador' variety. The plant forms large, uniform leaves of medium to dark green color. The taste is characterized as mild, with a slight nutty undertone and reduced oxalic acid content.
The variety possesses high resistance to bolting, which allows it to be used for overwintering. At the same time, development occurs more slowly compared to some other varieties. The crop is not recommended for cultivation in summer due to the risk of accelerated transition to flowering under long daylight conditions.
