The variety is a dense, wide-spreading shrub 1.2–1.5 m in height with arching shoots. The leaves are dark green and ovate in shape. Flowering occurs from June to August with small bell-shaped flowers in shades of pink and white.
The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and adaptation to urban conditions. It tolerates pruning well and grows in any garden soil. It is resistant to major diseases and pests, although powdery mildew may occur under unfavorable conditions.
The fruits, up to 1.5 cm in diameter, are purple-pink in color and remain on the bush until February. The variety is used as a specimen plant, in groups, and for creating hedges.
