The variety has a taproot system reaching a depth of up to 90 cm and a bushy, branched stem. The inflorescences are elongated ovoid heads with dark red flowers. The plant is characterized by low susceptibility to diseases, but is sensitive to trampling and freezing, especially in the absence of snow cover.
Green mass yield is approximately 200 c/ha, and dry matter yield is 26.4 c/ha. The variety provides good crop establishment. In crop rotation, it is recommended to maintain an interval of 5–6 years before re-sowing; the crop is demanding of soil lime content and sensitive to soil acidity.
Used as an intermediate winter crop to obtain forage in pure form or as part of grass mixtures, as well as a green manure for soil loosening and nitrogen fixation. Applied for landscaping and site improvement.
