The variety belongs to the medium red clover type. It possesses high winter hardiness and the ability to persist in the stand for 3–4 years given reliable snow cover. The variety is characterized by rapid establishment and the ability to maintain good soil cover even under moisture deficit conditions.

The plant possesses increased resistance to anthracnose and certain strains of mosaic virus. Genetically, the variety is close to other Western European varieties, such as Nemaro. The variety is intended for use for hay, haylage, and pastures as a full-value forage crop.
