Semperina is a diploid (2n) red clover variety used primarily in forage grass mixtures with ryegrass for the establishment of pastures and hayfields. The variety is characterized by high productivity and is often used in field trials as a standard reference.

The plant demonstrates stability of botanical composition in swards and the ability to adapt to various conditions, including cultivation in mountainous areas.
