The Select 2 variety was developed for the development of forage crops and registered in state catalogs as a representative of red clover (Trifolium pratense). It is often used as an object in scientific experiments aimed at studying the biological characteristics of the species.
During the studies, the variety demonstrated a response to stress factors, in particular to soil salinization with sodium chloride. Experiments evaluated indicators such as seed germination, seedling development, and the efficiency of inoculation with rhizobia.
