Variety Sally is a tetraploid form of red clover (4x = 28 chromosomes). The plant is characterized by increased winter hardiness, disease resistance, and higher dry matter yield compared to diploid counterparts.

During selection trials, the variety demonstrated an advantage in seed productivity, exceeding the indicators of some diploid varieties by 72%.
