The variety is a natural ecotype originating from the Lombardy region. It belongs to the large-leaved forms of white clover, characterized by long hollow petioles, thick fleshy stolons with long internodes, and a loose, erect habit.
The plant is traditionally used for hay production and in meadow grass mixtures, demonstrating high productivity in the first year of life. It does not tolerate intensive grazing well, but possesses relative resistance to nematodes and contains insignificant amounts of cyanogenic glycosides.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
