The variety was obtained by crossing ecotypes from the Southland region with genotypes from New Zealand, the Mediterranean, and the south of France. It belongs to the small-leaf clover group, which ensures its high resistance and persistence under intensive pasture use.

The plant possesses improved growth characteristics at the beginning of the season, contributes to nitrogen fixation in the soil, and is a high-quality source of protein in livestock feed.
