Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an introduction selected from Sardinian germplasm. The plant has a prostrate or semi-erect growth habit and black seeds. Maturity is mid-season, with a period to flowering of approximately 123 days.

The variety is resistant to root rot and Sclerotinia, and has a high self-regeneration capacity due to an increased hard seed content (about 29%). It has the ability to effectively utilize soil rhizobia for nitrogen fixation.

Suitable for pasture establishment in regions with Mediterranean and temperate climates. Prefers well-drained soils with a pH level from 4.8 to 7.0. Resistant to grazing due to the ability to bury seeds in the soil.
