Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the subterranean subspecies and is a prostrate or semi-erect plant. Flowering occurs approximately 97 days after sowing. The variety produces large black seeds with a high level of hard-seededness, amounting to about 45 percent.

The crop provides high-quality winter forage and tolerates intensive grazing well. Due to the low level of formononetin, the risk of infertility in sheep is minimal. The variety does not tolerate waterlogging well and requires stony or cracked areas for effective burr burial.

The plant is susceptible to a number of diseases, including clover scorch, Phytophthora root rot, Cercospora leaf spot, and root rots; however, in the low-rainfall areas recommended for it (300–600 mm per year), the risk of infection is low.
