Triticum aestivum L. Bread wheat · Agricultural · bred by Syngenta Hadmersleben

also searched as: алтос

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to late-maturing and short-statured varieties of winter soft wheat. In agronomic practice, the variety has often been used as a parental form in breeding combinations for the development of new varieties, contributing to the improvement of such characteristics as lodging resistance and winter hardiness.

When compared with other varieties, Altos demonstrates relative susceptibility to brown rust, as well as lower flour yield, protein content, and gluten content indices. The crop is intended for use in the food industry and scientific research on increasing yield and grain quality parameters.
