The Ambition variety is a product of Danish breeding and is known as a genetic resource used in scientific research to study productivity and improve various cereal crop traits.

During trials, the variety was characterized by high grain yield potential, reaching 9.2 t/ha. The variety has been actively used by breeders as a parental line in creating multiparent populations for mapping quantitative trait loci.
