Triticum aestivum L. Bread wheat · Agricultural · bred by Graminor AS, N-2322 Ridabu

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to spring soft wheat and its genealogy reflects the influence of CIMMYT breeding programs, which can be traced in specific haplotypes characteristic of Norwegian breeding. For a long time, the variety was actively grown in Norway and served as a baseline sample in studies of protein content characteristics and dough properties.

In agronomic research, the variety is considered in the context of studying cereal pathogens. Specifically, virulence of powdery mildew pathogens was identified against it, and it also appears in publications concerning the study of resistance to the cereal cyst nematode.
