The variety «Batalj» is characterized by increased ear productivity. Studies confirm its resistance to powdery mildew at all growth stages, as well as to stem rust (race UG99).

The variety is suitable for baking purposes, which is confirmed by experiments on the study of storage protein composition and bread volume under various nitrogen nutrition conditions. In the conditions of Russian regions, the variety shows signs of late maturity.

The primary purpose of the variety is its use as a donor of disease resistance and as an object for studying genetic resources of productivity and grain quality.
