The variety Bastion was obtained by crossing breeding lines H10/H35 with the variety Murao. Subsequently, this variety was used in breeding to create the wheat variety Minaret.

The grain is characterized as soft, the variety possesses good baking qualities, as well as dough and milling indicators. Yield is rated as good.

The plant has a long stem. Resistance to lodging is medium to good. The variety is susceptible to brown rust and yellow rust, and is characterized by medium or low susceptibility to powdery mildew.
