The variety is used in breeding programs, in particular as a parental form for creating hybrids. In scientific research, it is used to study resistance to stress factors, including exposure to sulfur dioxide.
The plant possesses the leaf rust resistance gene Lr9. Genetically, the variety is a carrier of the Glu-A1a allele; studies are also being conducted on its spike morphotypes, in particular the spiral arrangement of spikelets.
Under Mediterranean climate conditions, the variety underwent multi-year trials, during which its yield, adaptability, as well as heat and drought tolerance were evaluated.
