The variety is the result of a natural cross between the Swedish Island and English Stand-Up varieties. The plant possesses a developed root system but is sensitive to soil waterlogging, which negatively affects the grain-to-straw ratio.
Morphologically, the variety is a medium-height plant with a white or yellowish strong stem. The awnless ear has a subovate shape, medium density, and an erect position. The grain is white, of medium size, and varies from soft to semi-hard type.
