The German variety Favorit is classified as winter soft wheat (Winterweichweizen) with a spike-type inflorescence, which can be awnless or have short awns. Currently, its active registration period in European registers has ended.
The Russian spring variety Фаворит is an independent development obtained by crossing the varieties Lutescens 2033 and Belyanka. This variety is intended for cultivation in the Lower Volga region.
