The German variety «Fedor» is characterized as late-maturing and short-stemmed. Its properties were studied as part of an analysis of wheat crop architecture and wheat starch quality.
The Russian variety «Федор» is mid-late, its height is about 90 cm. The variety belongs to "strong" wheats, is distinguished by resistance to lodging, leaf rust, yellow rust, powdery mildew, and viruses. It possesses increased winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and heat resistance, exhibits medium resistance to septoria, and medium susceptibility to Fusarium head blight.
