The variety is a product of crossing a sister line of the variety Capo with German breeding lines. The plant belongs to the category of food wheat and has been historically included in the Austrian variety registers since the late 1990s.
In scientific literature, the variety is widely known as an object for studying the mechanisms of resistance to Fusarium head blight, as well as leaf rust and yellow rust. Due to its genetic characteristics, Furore is used as a parent form and a reference genotype in breeding programs.
