The variety is a winter form of soft wheat. The main distinguishing feature of the variety during its period of active use was its high genetic resistance to the orange wheat blossom midge.
In addition to resistance to the pest, the variety possessed resistance to Septoria. Agronomic recommendations of that period indicated the advisability of using this variety for early sowing dates, in particular in early September.
