The variety was obtained by crossing Santiago and KWS W177. The plant is of a short-to-medium height type of about 86 cm, possesses a stiff stem and resistance to lodging. The maturity period is estimated as medium, being one day ahead of the Skyfall standard.
The purpose of the variety includes use for feed purposes, as well as application in the distilling, milling, and bioethanol industries. The test weight is about 75.6 kg/hl, and the Hagberg falling number (HFN) is about 182. The variety shows high resistance to yellow rust, powdery mildew, and midge, but is susceptible to septoria.
The variety is adapted for a wide range of sowing dates, including late sowing up to the end of November. It demonstrates high yield in the conditions of northern regions.
