ActiveTriticum aestivum L. · Bread wheat
Syngenta Crop Protection AG
10 August 2026
The variety was developed by Italian breeders by crossing the varieties Argelato and Red River 68. In the mid-20th century, it was actively used in European breeding programs to improve the morphological parameters and yield of wheat.
The plant belongs to semi-dwarf forms, which is due to the presence of short-stemmed genes in its genotype. The variety was primarily used as a source of valuable traits for increasing wheat resistance to lodging.
