The winter soft wheat variety «Lanovyi» was created at the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (National Center of Seed Science and Variety Testing, Odesa). It is included in the state registers of plant varieties.
In scientific literature, the «Lanovyi» variety is frequently mentioned as one of the parental components used in the breeding process, particularly in the creation of analog lines through backcrossing.
