The variety was obtained by individual selection from a hybrid population with the experimental number 99x1009-23 and the pedigree Tubbs Sib / Stephens 3* / SF4. Based on morphological characteristics, it is classified as a tall semi-dwarf, distinguished by white glumes at maturity.
The variety is characterized as mid-season. It was oriented toward regions with sufficient precipitation levels, including the eastern part of Washington state, west-central Idaho, and northeastern Oregon in the USA.
