The wheat variety Lívia was bred as a result of crossing the combination K 3756-1-76 and Košútka. The plant belongs to the winter crop group.

The variety is classified as highly susceptible to Wheat dwarf virus (WDV), where crop damage of up to 100% is possible under artificial inoculation during early growth stages.

In current scientific literature, the variety is used as a reference sample for studying protein composition, in particular gliadins and glutenins, as well as for developing methods of gluten quality analysis.
