The variety belongs to the category of old wheat varieties of Hungarian origin. The grain has a hard texture, which allows the crop to be used in breeding work for the analysis of dough properties and gluten content.
During scientific trials, susceptibility of the variety to Fusarium head blight was identified. The reaction to powdery mildew infection depends on agrotechnical cultivation conditions and the choice of preceding crop.
