The winter soft wheat variety Malvina was developed in Slovakia and registered in 1998. In documentation, the variety was repeatedly mentioned in the context of agronomic trials conducted by state research institutes.

In reports for the period 2006–2013, Malvina appears in lists of varieties undergoing productivity and grain quality testing within Slovak state variety testing systems. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant are absent in open publications.
