The variety was bred at the Dobroudja Agricultural Institute. In scientific literature, it appears more often not as a production standard, but as an object in comparative physiological and biochemical studies, in particular when studying plant adaptation mechanisms.
In a number of papers, the variety is characterized as drought-sensitive. Studies of biochemical markers and leaf proteome of this variety are aimed at investigating the crop's response to stress factors. The variety is also mentioned in materials on grain quality improvement programs in Bulgaria.
