The variety belongs to the early-ripening group. During periods of extreme drought, the variety shows signs of instability, which are manifested in the premature yellowing and dying off of lower leaves, as well as the drying out of leaf blade tips and a generally suppressed state of the plants.
This variety is used primarily as a component in creating new hybrid populations within breeding programs.
