The variety belongs to spring soft wheat. It is used in agronomic and phytopathological research as a commercial variety for comparative analysis of resistance to Fusarium head blight and dwarf bunt.
In field trials, the variety demonstrated a level of infection with dwarf bunt of less than 10%. Nadro also serves as an object of experiments when studying wheat responses to abiotic stress, in particular, during the process of cold hardening.
