The variety was developed by crossing the Secese and Avenue varieties, inheriting high plasticity, drought tolerance, and adaptability to difficult growing conditions, including late sowing dates after maize or cereal predecessors. The ripening period allows harvesting during the timeframe typical for winter barley.
Due to its short stem, the variety has high lodging resistance and often does not require the use of growth regulators. It belongs to quality group B, has high grain bulk density (over 810 g/l), and good falling number indicators.
