Variety description

10 August 2026

In scientific literature, the variety Nimbus is often mentioned as a model object for testing pathogens and verifying the resistance of other lines to Septoria and yellow rust. Its key characteristic in phytopathological experiments is its high susceptibility to fungal diseases.

In a number of sources, the 1975 German-bred variety is described as early-maturing and short-stemmed. Modern studies associate its use with the investigation of allelopathic potential regarding weeds and breeding work to improve disease resistance.
