The variety is a product of French breeding and is the result of a cross between lines B21•1•8 (Versailles) and Cappelle. It belongs to the winter wheat type.
In agronomic literature, the variety is considered primarily in the context of genetics and glutenin composition. Currently, Noroit is a historical variety and is practically not used in large-scale production.
