The winter wheat variety Olma was created using a combination of Kavkas, Grana, and Maris Huntsman lines. In agronomic research of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the variety appeared in trials dedicated to assessing genetic diversity and breeding progress in Poland.
In scientific works, the variety was considered in the context of studying the genetic basis of resistance to powdery mildew, in particular, in connection with the analysis of the presence of Pm-type resistance genes. Detailed morphological characteristics and indicators of baking properties of the variety are absent in open publications.
