The Precioso variety is mid-season and belongs to the lutescens botanical variety. The plant reaches a height of 77–81 cm. The spike has a pyramidal shape and is characterized by density and the presence of short awn-like appendages.
The protein content in the grain is 13.6–14.7%, gluten — 24.0–24.5%. Due to the increased content of lutein and zeaxanthin, the grain is in demand in the baking industry and poultry farming.
