The variety was obtained by the breeding method at the Research Institute of Crop Production in Prague and at the Úhřetice station through step-by-step line selection aimed at improving yield indicators and disease resistance.
The plant possesses high resistance to yellow rust and brown rust. Moderate resistance was recorded for powdery mildew on leaves and ears, Septoria nodorum blotch, brown leaf spot, and Fusarium head blight.
