The variety belongs to spring wheat and was developed at the Swiss research institute Agroscope. In genetic studies, it has been used as parental material for the introgression of the leaf rust resistance gene Lr22a via backcrossing.
When grown under hydroponic conditions, the period from germination to maturity is approximately 160 days. The variety is traditionally involved in comparative studies on resistance to fungal diseases, such as leaf spot and leaf rust.
Data on specific agronomic performance indicators, including yield and baking quality, in available publications are of a laboratory or comparative nature within the framework of genetic research, rather than an agronomic description for commercial production use.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
