The variety is a standard-height winter wheat, externally similar to spring wheat. It possesses high resistance to wheat rust, in particular adult-plant resistance to this pathogen at high temperatures.
The plant is adapted to the conditions of the U.S. Pacific Northwest, in particular to regions of Washington state with precipitation levels of less than 400 mm per year. Breeding utilized introgression methods of the Gpc-B1 gene, responsible for increased grain protein content.
