The variety is a winter soft wheat of French origin. In 20th-century literature, it is mentioned in the context of variety trials conducted in a number of European countries in the 1970s.
In scientific publications of the 1970s and 1980s, the variety was used in studies of baking quality, the physiology of grain protein accumulation, and resistance to herbicides, in particular to metoxuron. In modern breeding, the variety is considered a historical object for genetic collections.
