The variety belongs to winter forms of soft wheat. Under growing conditions on chernozem soils, the height of plants of this variety varies in the range of 86–100 centimeters.
The plant has an intermediate bush type. A characteristic feature is the low frequency of occurrence of plants having a recurved flag leaf.
The variety is used in agronomic research as a reference object, in particular, when conducting tests on the influence of drought and calibrating equipment for nitrogen diagnostics.
