The KWS Tempo variety was obtained by crossing CPBT W151 and Timaru. It belongs to feed wheat varieties and is characterized by slow development in the spring period, which ensures late maturity and allows for the optimization of harvesting operations.
The plant has a stiff straw, which provides high lodging resistance. The variety demonstrates a high tillering capacity and a prostrate growth habit at early stages, which allows for reduced seeding rates. Due to good resistance to eyespot, the variety is suitable for use in crop rotation as a "second wheat".
