Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant possesses significant vegetative mass and active leaf development, which effectively shades the soil. During the ripening phase, the stems acquire a characteristic purple hue. The grains are well-formed and vitreous. The variety is self-reproducing, which allows for the use of harvested seeds for sowing.

Tengri demonstrates good resistance to rust, and moderate to good tolerance to Septoria, Fusarium, and pre-harvest sprouting. When grown using intensive technologies, the variety is prone to lodging. The variety is often used in variety mixtures to increase the stability of agroecosystems.
