The variety was developed as a result of breeding work by the company Svalöf Weibull AB. Its genetic origin is a combination of the varieties Ring, Pondus and Karn.
Key characteristics of the variety include resistance to nematodes. In scientific studies, the variety is mentioned as a carrier of the powdery mildew resistance genes Pm1a, Pm2 and Pm9.
