The variety is of Hungarian origin and was developed at the Martonvásár institute. In scientific literature, it is more frequently referred to by the name Mv Vilma and is included in genotype collections for conducting comparative studies in the field of plant breeding.
In a number of studies, the variety is classified as moderately resistant to powdery mildew. The literature also discusses the presence of specific resistance genes in this genotype, such as Lr37.
