The Vratsa variety was developed at the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute and was zoned in Bulgaria between 1967 and 1977. The plant is characterized by a tendency toward early heading and maturity.
The grain of the variety possesses high test weight indicators, however, its quality can vary depending on environmental conditions. Due to its biological characteristics, the variety was actively used in breeding programs as a parental form for the development of new hybrids.
