The variety was derived from the crossing of lines LW 018W004-01 and Hamlet. The plant is characterized by short or medium height with a strong stem, possessing good lodging resistance. The hollow stem structure contributes to increased resistance to the wheat stem sawfly.
The variety possesses resistance to leaf rust, stripe rust, stem rust, powdery mildew, as well as to wheat streak mosaic virus and barley mosaic virus, while showing moderate susceptibility to Fusarium head blight. The test weight of the grain is lower than that of a number of check varieties, while milling and baking quality are rated as good.
The purpose of the variety is focused on the production of forage, silage, and ethanol, while the variety demonstrates high yield indicators.
