The variety is of Italian origin. Its genealogy shows the influence of the variety Capeiti (or Capeiti 8), which is characteristic of a group of varieties from the same breeding period, including Antas, Ciccio, and Ciclope.

Within the framework of agronomic trials aimed at assessing adaptability and yield, the variety demonstrated indicators lower than those of the most stable genotypes. The variety is used as an object for studying morphological traits using UPOV descriptors.
